Toyota revealed the concept for their C-HR hybrid compact at the 2014 Paris motor show. The concept for their new vehicle integrates impeccable design with improved drivability for the European market. The C-HR features a full hybrid powertrain that will enhance the driving experience, and also handle traffic conditions efficiently.
Toyota has recognized that the European market has a large demand for small and mid-sized vehicles, so they wanted to use this market to define their future designs. There was a close partnership between Toyota’s planning centers in Japan in order to gain a better understanding of what the European market demanded. They will continue to work closely with their partners in Japan while they develop their entry into the C-crossover segment.
This new crossover vehicle represents the vision that Toyota hopes to portray in the future. The brand has been known for setting the standard with many of their landmark vehicles, including RAV4, Prius and GT86. The brand hopes to reestablish an emotional connection between drivers and their car, and they hope that the new C-HR will be a step towards that.
