In advance of the 2015 North American International Show (NAIAS), Infiniti has emerged as the talk of the most influential car show by revealing its highest rated premium sports car to date. At the Detroit hosted NAIAS, Infiniti expects to create a considerable buzz around a vehicle that draws from the design inspiration of other Infiniti models and Formula 1 race cars. The two-door sports coupe features handcrafted leather finishes and carbon fiber in the bespoke interior.
Inside the 2015 Infiniti Q60
The low roof line and quilted leather seats remind many automotive experts of the interior design presented by the Q80 Inspiration. “The Q80 Inspiration was an indication of Infiniti’s future design language,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. “The sweeping lines of the Q80 Inspiration gave the Q60 Concept its coupe silhouette and looks while the Formula One-inspired touches from the Q50 Eau Rouge endowed the coupe with its sports personality.” Sharp contours inside of the sports sedan complement the front wheel arches that the Q60 inherited from the Q50 Eau Rouge. Infiniti’s meticulous interior design includes leather hand-stitching and carefully placed carbon fiber accents.
Refined Power for All Driving Conditions
Infiniti engineers made it a point to design the 2015 Q60 to include an engine capable of navigating over all types of terrain. The 3.7-liter, six-cylinder produces 330 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque. Drivers can expect an instant burst of acceleration from an idling position that enables them to reach 60 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds. Impeccable timing of mixing air and water ensures a clean ride that delivers 25 miles per gallon on the highway. Perfect balance, smooth handling, and rugged endurance round out the noteworthy performance features of the 2015 Infiniti Q60.
The Infiniti60 Owns the Road
Infiniti integrates several safety features under the hood of the Q60. Intelligent Cruise Control Automatically slows down the car to compensate for oncoming vehicles. The safety system manages the Q60’s speed and ensures you stay far enough away from the closest vehicle to avoid rear end collisions. Intelligent Cruise Control kicks in when the Q60 exceeds 45 miles per hour.
Infiniti plans to introduce the Q60 Concept on Tuesday January 13, at its annual NAIAS press conference. The press conference begins at 8:10 EST.
