Parents and teen drivers can now share real-time alerts if parental-set bounds are crossed, thanks to an app debuting on the 2015 Hyundai Azera. The company’s Blue Link Vehicle Safeguards Alerts allows parents to program limits on vehicle speed, hours of operation, and movements. If the limits are violated, the app simultaneously posts a notification on the car’s dashboard navigation screen — for the teen driver to see — and sends parents a text message, email, or both.
After months of speculation, Hyundai unveiled the 2015 Azera on November 7, 2014, at the 44th annual Miami International Auto Show. Members of the media and eager consumers flocked to the announcement to see the latest version of the wildly popular Hyundai Azera. The Korean automaker emphasize the interior and exterior improvement, as well as the installation of new state-of-the-art safety technologies that enhance the appeal of the four-door sedan
Safety First for the 2015 Hyundai Azera
Hyundai engineers have added several safety features that protect families from the injuries caused by violent collisions. Head, side, and knee airbags ensure the driver and front seat passenger receive maximum protection against head-on crashes. Hyundai also places importance on preventing accidents, by adding the Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lange Change Assist. The cutting edge safety features take the guesswork out of pulling away from crowded parking lot spaces and making lane changes on congested highways.
Smooth and Powerful Performance
The 2015 Hyundai Azera continues to impress under the hood. An advanced Lambda II 3.3-liter direct injection V6 engine powers the mighty Azera. Hyundai constructs the robust engine to produce the best-in-class horsepower of 293, with torque that measures 255 pounds-feet. The high-pressure direct injection system ensures the optimal mixture of air and gasoline to encourage fuel efficency, while also causing a reduction in harmful fuel emissions.
The More Things Change…
…the more they remain the same with the 2015 Hyundai Azera. Hyundai includes its standard Blue Link system that helps Azera owners monitor speed, hours of operation, and vehicle movements. Azera owners modify the in-vehicle app to match the driving needs of adolescent drivers. Illuminated door sill plate, hands-free communications technology, and an eight-inch color LCD screen are all standard features that return for the 2015 Hyundai Azera.
The latest rendition of the Azera follows the path blazed by previous models that offered superior comfort and performance. Hyundai has designed and manufactured a near-luxury sedan that fetches prices well below vehicle in the luxury category. Mike O’Brien, vice president of Product and Corporate Planning for Hyundai Motor America said before the Azera unveiling, “Hyundai is committed in creating, developing, and delivering products that offer costumers best-in-class features. For 2015, Azera returns with the highest levels of luxury, performance, efficiency, safety and technology, all brought together in an innovative design.”
